Allan Chestnut earned his BSc and MSc degrees from Kansas State University and his PhD. from the University of Illinois. He has held faculty appointments for research and teaching in the US and in Africa. He owned his own consulting business working with dairy producers for 4 years before being employed in the feed industry for 26 years. In 2022 he retired from a major international livestock feed company where he had responsibilities for providing nutritional support to field staff and customers, as well as was involved in the R & D of several internationally successful products.
